Jorge E. Vasquez
Chief Executive Officer
Jorge Vasquez is the founder and President of Vecor Pipeline Integrity, bringing more than 38 years of experience in corrosion control and pipeline integrity management. He holds credentials as a Materials Technologist and Metallurgical Engineer and previously led Corrosion and Integrity for Electricidad de Caracas during his 20-year tenure in Venezuela.
After moving to the United States in 2007, Jorge spent eight years as a Senior Consultant Engineer supporting major pipeline integrity programs before launching Vecor in 2015. He is a NACE-certified Cathodic Protection Technologist (CP-3) with global expertise in designing, commissioning, and optimizing cathodic protection systems for onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities.
Jorge is highly experienced in NACE assessment methodologies (ECDA, ICDA, SCCDA), Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) program development, and advanced over-the-ground survey techniques including CIS, DCVG, PCM, ACVG, SR, and MIC.
Carlos A. Melo
Regional Manager of the Northern Area
Carlos Melo has a Ph.D. and Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and an MSc in Corrosion Control Engineering. Carlos worked in Ecuador for almost 15 years as a cathodic protection engineer, corrosion technician, and mechanical integrity engineer. Since 2020 Carlos has been working in the USA as a Senior Pipeline Integrity Consultant for Vecor. Carlos is certified by AMPP in Cathodic Protection, Coating Inspection, and Internal Corrosion. He is also an AMPP instructor for Cathodic Protection and Pipeline Integrity.
Alberto Janeta
Regional Manager of the Ecuador Area
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and M.Sc. in Environmental Management. Alberto Janeta is a Senior Pipeline Integrity Engineer with over 15 years of experience in corrosion control, cathodic protection, and pipeline integrity management for oil & gas pipelines, related fixed assets, other energy transportation sectors, as well as industrial maintenance and power generation. Proven expertise in ECDA, ICDA, and SCCDA, CP system design and troubleshooting, AC/DC interference mitigation, failure analysis, and integrity program implementation in accordance with AMPP/NACE, ASME, API, and ISO standards. AMPP (formerly NACE) certified CP-2 and CIP-2, and ASNT NDT certified, with strong field, analytical, and project leadership capabilities.
Pablo M. Ramos
Regional Manager of the Gulf Coast
Pablo Michel Ramos B is a Metallurgical Engineer (UCV) with over 7 years of specialized experience in Pipeline Integrity and Corrosion Control. Certified as an AMPP Cathodic Protection Technologist (CP-3), he currently serves as a Senior CP Engineer at Vecor Pipeline Integrity, where he leads complex diagnostic surveys (CIS, DCVG, PCM, ACVG) and integrity assessments based on ECDA/ICDA methodologies.
Pablo has a proven track record in technical training, having served as a Pipeline Troubleshooting Instructor for major gas transmission and distribution projects in Atlanta (AGL). In this role, he was responsible for training new technical personnel in advanced field diagnostics and system optimization. His expertise includes the design and commissioning of cathodic protection systems and the resolution of underperforming assets for major utilities in the United States.

Jim Marr
Expert in Stress Corrosion Cracking
Jim Marr is a leading expert in stress corrosion cracking with nearly 40 years of experience in onshore pipeline integrity (since 1986). He holds an Honours B.Sc. in Earth Sciences from the University of Guelph, is a retired Professional Agrologist, and maintains NDE certifications (CGSB Level II MPI, Level I UT) along with NACE Level 2 Coating Inspector credentials. Jim is widely recognized for developing and standardizing Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC) data collection, assessment methodologies, and integrity processes adopted across North America and internationally. He has led major SCC programs, contributed to PRCI and AMPP (former NACE International) initiatives, and continues to teach SCC courses through Clarion Technical. Jim has collaborated with Vecor since 2022 on SCC Direct Assessment projects.
Gerald Haynes
Expert in AC Mitigation
Gerald Haynes is a graduate Metallurgical and Materials Engineer, and a professionally registered Chartered (Engineering Council UK) Engineer. He has been collaborating with Vecor since 2022 as SME and partner on AC interference Evaluation and Mitigation projects. He leverages over 25 years of integrated global field and engineering services experience, he ensures project compliance with rigorous NACE, ISO, and CENELEC regulatory standards. For the past two decades, he has specialized in Boundary Element Methods (BEM) for Computational Aided Engineering (CAE), focusing on the advanced modeling and mitigation of AC/DC pipeline interference and asset integrity.
Patrick J. Teevens
Expert in Internal Corrosion
Patrick J. Teevens, CD, P.Eng., FAMPP, MCIC is a corrosion engineering authority with more than 47 years of experience across upstream, midstream, and downstream operations. He is certified by AMPP as a Corrosion Specialist, Internal Corrosion Specialist, and Cathodic Protection Specialist, and is a registered Professional Engineer in Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario. Pat is widely recognized for his pioneering work in real‑time corrosion rate monitoring and for developing a predictive internal corrosion model used internationally and his model enpICDA® was recognized with the NACE International 2017 Technical Achievement Award . He has contributed extensively to pipeline safety standards and serves as Lead Instructor for multiple AMPP (former NACE International) courses. Pat and his team at Broadsword Corrosion Engineering Ltd., has supported Vecor since 2020 with specialized expertise in ICDA assessments and corrosion engineering consultancy.
Osvaldo Mejia
Expert in External Corrosion and Pipeline Integrity
Osvaldo MejÃa is a chemical engineer with more than 20 years of experience in corrosion control, integrity management, and risk‑based strategies for the oil and gas, process, and petrochemical industries. He holds multiple NACE certifications, including Cathodic Protection Specialist, Internal Corrosion Technologist, and Pipeline Corrosion Integrity Management Technologist. Osvaldo has extensive expertise in designing and implementing integrity management plans, corrosion control programs, and fitness‑for‑service assessments, supported by strong knowledge of international codes and standards. He is an experienced instructor and author, delivering AMPP (former NACE International) courses such as PCIM, Direct Assessment, In‑Line Inspection, and CP1/CP2. Osvaldo has supported Vecor since 2020 with specialized consulting in corrosion, integrity, and risk management.
